The middle wing...

Right……or left
Black……or white
Positive…..or negative
Friend……or enemy
Dark….or light
Yes…or no
Why does it always have to be one or the other?
Why does it always have to be that if it is not like this then it is like that?
Why if the person standing in front of me is not with me then he is against me?
Why can’t we look around and see how the world is like?
That in addition to right and left, there is always a middle.
The world is not black and white but an infinite number of colors.
For a positive and a negative to live together in an atom, there is also a neutral particle.
We have friends, enemies and people who are neither.
The sun does not rise up all of a sudden and night comes in slowly.
And there are lots of times when the answer to a question in may be.
May be when we realize all this, we can find peace.
May be then everyone holding a bomb would think twice before throwing it.
Or someone who insults a friend because of an argument would reconsider.
May be then we can see someone who is different and don’t think of him as an alien from Mars.
Can this really happen one day?!
Or are we only taking the bird with its right and left wings as a model, believing that there is no such thing as the middle wing!!!

Well, that was inspired and beautifully written and yet perhaps too rational for your average mere mortal. After all, how often do those who have never known the middle strive to discover it? The problem is it often takes some sort of disaster/calamity/catastrophe to create a dent in the mass mind set. You are proposing that the oscillating pendulum swing within a finite space at the center, but what do we do with the energy that took it to the extremes to begin with? Energy is neither created nor is it destroyed.. such things are province of people and places instead. Philosophy is all well and good:) but we still need to remember to ' never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups'. I wonder how Darwin would care to explain that instance of 'natural selection'. Funny thing too, setting back the clock probably wouldn't work either, the mistakes we made in the past are repeated in the present. I guess some of us will never learn. Counterpoint a fatalistic view to the more optimistic one:)Perhaps the meeting ground IS the middle!

Lot believe that there is a grey area and they can accept to live with it peacefully
Those who don’t accept the other and insist to be black or white they are fanatics you can find them in any time and in any place - life will continue with or without them.

Personally i prefer decisive opinions & answers like yes or no really black or white but most of the time i just go for may be.. sometimes i feel it is easier no need to think deeper or coz it lacks boldness.. i think when we reach the level of complete preciseness then we will be ok..
